NOTES: Business letter from George Walter to Gosling &
Walter of Altona dated 20 July 1854. Following the uprising of 1848
wherein Holstein led a unification move of Schleswig & Holstein to join
with the German States, Denmark prevailed to maintain them as
independent states, thus in 1854 Schleswig & Holstein were independent
Duchies and ran their own Postal Service
